About baby photoshoots

Babies change so much in their first year and before you know it they’ll be up and about, walking and talking. Baby portrait sessions are a lovely way of capturing that in-between stage and are best at around 6-9 months, once baby can sit-up unassisted.

At this age we can capture those gorgeous chubby rolls, dimples, giggles and their little personalty. Each baby is different and this shows in their personalised baby photo session.

We start by capturing some lovely portraits while baby is still dressed.  If you have a special outift that you would like baby to be photographed in, please feel free to bring that with you.  I also have a selection of vintage themed outfits which you are welcome to use during the session.

Then it’s on to the classic nude images, where we can capture that cute little tushie.  Although baby is naked I use posing and camera angles to ensure that baby’s modesty is protected. Worried about accidents? Don’t be – I am very used to these things and everything is machine washable for this reason.

Depending on what kind of image you would like we can also bring in a few props – for example a cute chair or some teddies.  Again if you have anything special that you would like baby to be photographed with, feel free to bring it along to the session.  I am more than happy to work with your ideas to capture those cute baby photos for you.

Sessions are held at my cosy home studio in Portsmouth where you’ll have full access to all of my props, outfits and accessories. I allow up to 2 hours as I work to what baby can do and what baby wants to do – they call the shots!

Please remember to bring a drink and some snacks for baby – finger food is very useful during the photoshoot.  I also recommend bringing their favourite toy (especially if it’s noisy) as this can help keep their attention to where I need them to be looking.

The session fee for a baby portrait session is £50 which covers my time and use of props. Digital images start at £295 for 10 images and you can see my full pricing on the link in the menu.
