Portsmouth newborn baby photography – William’s portrait session

So here we are at the final sneak peek for this week and I’ve definitely saved the best for last!

Little William came to see me at just 18 days new for his newborn baby photos.  William’s Mummy had warned me that he was staying awake longer now but after a lovely long feed and plenty of cuddles he soon went off to sleep.  Once he was asleep he was an absolute dream to work with and had no problem with any of the poses I asked him to do.  This surprised me a bit as he was a breech baby which can mean their legs are a little stiffer where they’ve been stretched out more.

William rocked all of his beanbag poses plus two poses in my beautiful props.  We also managed to sneak a Christmas photo in for his Mummy and Daddy!

Portsmouth baby photographer – Cooper’s Christmas mini session

For the final Christmas mini sneak peek this week we have the scrummy baby Cooper.

I photographed Cooper’s older brother Fletcher when he was 7mths old at one of my Christmas mini sessions 2yrs ago (you can see his sneak peek here) so I was delighted to hear from Fletcher’s Mummy that not only had she had another baby but that she would like me to take some Christmas photos of him too.

Cooper is now 4mths old and arrived fast asleep in his gorgeous Christmas romper.  We weren’t sure if he’d stay asleep but I carefully managed to get him out of his car seat and settle him onto my little bed to get some beautiful ‘Night Before Xmas’ shots.  Once I sneaked a Santa hat on and tucked a reindeer under his arm the image was complete as you can see here.

Hampshire baby photography – Bea’s Christmas mini session

So here we are with the second sneak peek of the week with baby Bea.

Little Bea was only 5 1/2mths old so not sitting up on her own yet but her Mummy and Daddy really wanted some Christmas photos of her. So with a little Photoshop magic I managed to get some gorgeous festive images of her – minus her Mum’s supporting hand on her at all times.

She was an absolute sweetheart and gave me some beautiful smiles but I just loved this picture of her with those big beautiful blue eyes framed by the fluffy white Santa hat.

Portsmouth baby photographer – Max & Jacob’s Christmas mini session

Wow what a busy weekend I’ve just had!  I’ve had a total of 6 little ones in the studio which is far more than I normally see in one weekend.

I started off with one of my favourite families coming in for a Christmas mini session with twins Max & Jacob who are now over a year old.  I have photographed all three of their boys from newborn onwards and I have loved watching this little family grow and the boys develop.  It always makes me laugh when big brother Charlie, now 3yrs, insists on calling me ‘Libby Edward’.

Of course just because they’re twins doesn’t mean the boys are identical in personality or in fact even want to have their photo taken together!  So we photographed each of them separately with a little help from In The Night Garden on Daddy’s  phone.

Portsmouth baby photographer – Sophia’s portrait session

I absolutely love when babies come back to see me and I get to see how they are growing and changing into their own little personality.  This weekend was just one of those sessions when Sophia came back for her sitting baby photos.

I last saw Sophia in December when she was just 7 days old to have her newborn baby photos taken.  You can see her sneak peek here.

Sophia is now 10mths old and absolutely gorgeous! Sophia brought along her big sister who sat in on a few photos as well so that Mummy and Daddy have some beautiful photos of both of them.  As with most babies Sophia just loved the naked photos but luckily she didn’t pee on anything!  She made us work for the smiles but they were absolutely worth it as you can see in her sneak peek.

The best time to book your baby photoshoot is between 6-9mths when baby can sit-up unassisted but isn’t crawling yet.  You can find out more about my baby photography here.
